      Most hotels have the standard practice of having an accounting day or hotel day this is described as the charging that is daily of this resort. The review closes the books on one resort day and starts the books on another night. The purpose that is main of the evening audit would be to confirm the accuracy and completeness of visitor and non-guest records.

   According to M. Rahat,    Costing in the hospitality industry shows most of the important costs or expenses spent on that day that is particular to the report based.  . Costing is typically used to evolve costs for any or all of the following: - Customers, Distribution networks, employees, products, etc. The charges incurred in a hotel are variable or fixed. Fixed costs contain staff remuneration, maintenance, inside stylistic layout, clothing cost, sundries, and deterioration on fixed resources. The costs of dinners, other immediate and backhanded expenses are thought to work through the costs to be charged from visitors at that point. (Rahat, 2018)

Based on FR Machala, a Night audit in the hospitality industry shows all the transactions of the visitors who invest their time within the hotels' spaces for a particular time or for a period that is particular. without these three i.e. reports, costing, together with audit night

❖ Functions of Audit: evening -

• Ensures turnover in one working day to the day that is next

• Rectify all work that is front counters/accounts

• Confirm posted entries to guest / non-guest accounts

• Resolve space status and rate discrepancies

• Mostly, generates MIS that are several called night review reports.
