If you are an Indian or belong to an Indian family, you have tasted this delicious sweet known as rice kheer.
I remember my birthdays when my mother prepares this sweet rice for me, through that time my mother use to experiment with kheer sometimes she replaces sugar with jaggery and it tastes so delicious.
basically, kheer is a mixture of rice sugar and milk with the addition of some dry fruits to bring the charm in it, so let's start with how to make our kheer at home.
Ingredients.
basmati rice / regular rice 100 gm
sugar 40 gm
milk 200 ml
almonds 5-6 pieces
kishmis/raisins 5-6 pieces
saffron 2 gm
preparation
1. to make our rice kheer we need to boil rice and milk together in a pan for an hour.
2. we need to Simmer over the low flame, and stir occasionally till the rice is cooked properly and the milk becomes thick.
3. after you see your rice boiling add the sugar and dry fruits to it. and stir countionsuly till the sugar melts properly. add saffron for additional color and to add saffron taste to our kheer.
4. now aur kheer is ready to serve transfer it into another bowl and add some remaining dry fruits topping on top to garnisg
5. we can serve our desert cold or even serve as a hot dessert.
